Verification emails usually feel instant, but several things can delay them. Understanding these delays helps you avoid generating too many addresses or assuming the inbox is broken too early.

Sender queues

Large services often place outgoing messages in a queue. During busy periods, a confirmation email may wait behind other messages before it is sent.

Spam and filtering checks

Email systems check sender reputation, domain settings, message content and abuse signals. These checks can delay delivery by seconds or minutes.

Temporary domain blocks

Some websites block disposable email domains. In that case, the message may never be sent, or the signup form may accept the address but silently skip delivery.

What you can do

Wait a minute or two, refresh the inbox, check that the address was typed correctly and try another available domain if the service allows it. For important accounts, use a permanent email address.

What TempGo can control

TempGo can keep the inbox active, receive messages that reach the mail server and show them clearly. It cannot force another website to send an email or prevent every sender from blocking disposable domains.
